Learning to sail in Wellington and the Cook Strait instilled within me a great love and passion for the raw beauty of the ocean. My first captaining position was on a 70ft trimaran in the Whitsundays. This foundation enabled me to work on different vessels around the world in a variety of roles and fields including ocean racing in the Sydney to Hobart and large ship salvage operations in India.
For 15 years I worked for the Explore Group in Auckland. I worked on multiple vessels mainly the two America's Cup yachts in the viaduct. I left my position as fleet manager to start Marine Concierge alongside another company, Vessel Management Group, which specialises in health and safety within the commercial marine sector.

When I was younger I loved to race dinghies and keelboats. Wanting to give back to the sport, I started race coaching different junior classes to national level. After a brief dabble in uni studies, I started working at Explore in 2012 which helped me to realise that I wanted a career in yachting.
In 2015 I completed my NZ skippers ticket, then started driving pride boats and the AC boats. In 2018 I packed my bags and headed to Greece to work as a flotilla skipper, looking after a fleet of 12 boats for a whole season. I was then presented with the opportunity to do my RYA Yachtmaster Offshore while in Greece, then went back for a second season which I loved even more!
Since coming back to NZ, I've landed at MC. I manage a bit of anything and everything for the business, bringing my extensive industry knowledge and a positive, can-do attitude to the team.

I have been a commercial skipper for nearly 30 years now, running charter fishing/game boats and whale and dolphin watching vessels in Auckland, the Bay of Islands and Tonga. For the last 19 years I have been a Captain on Dolphin Explorer based in Auckland's Viaduct harbour, culminating in the role of Senior Captain and Operations.
I also integrated the vessel into the MOSS system, wrote our Operator Plan and integrated a vessel management computer solution to manage compliance and vessel maintenance etc. I have a vast network of contacts within the maritime industry and have fostered those important relationships over many years.
I look forward to utilising my experience and knowledge to help facilitate the needs and wishes of our clients.

I have been sailing all of my life, growing up sailing dinghies around east Auckland. I am really competitive and thoroughly enjoy racing, including races on a 52ft yacht to Noumea, within Australia and local racing around Auckland and the Bay of Islands. I have been working in the commercial marine industry for over 5 years, I started working for Explore Group as soon as I finished school, crewing on the old 80ft America's cup yachts and 50ft harbour cruising yachts.
After a couple of seasons, I completed my commercial skipper's ticket and drove the vessels for another couple of summers. This enabled me to progress my skills both with vessel handling and maintenance.

Growing up, I used to get involved in the cadet weeks and casual sailing at my local yacht club back in the UK. After a sailing holiday in Greece, I realised I wanted to make yachting my career choice. From 2015, I worked as a hostess for a flotilla company for 2 years around the Ionian Islands. Whilst there I completed my RYA Day skipper ticket and STCW95. I then moved into the super yacht industry, working on a 28m Sunseeker traveling the Mediterranean as the Cook, Deckhand and Stew.
After moving to New Zealand I then worked on the old Americas Cup boats and pride vessels, going on mini adventures around the Waitemata Harbour. I am now extremely excited about my latest endeavor with Marine Concierge, which will be combining all of the best aspects from my previous experiences to help to create something truly special with an amazingly supportive team.
